Cloning your voice

#Prepare a clear sample

Use a recording of one person speaking clearly. At least 10 seconds is required; about a minute works best. Choose a sample that represents the natural voice you want to use, with minimal background noise or competing speakers.

• The clone dialog accepts audio or supported MP4/QuickTime video recordings up to 25 MB.
• Give the voice an identifiable name, especially if you manage several channels or presenters.
• Only clone your own voice or a voice you have permission to clone.

#Save the voice

   Open Voice clone

   Open the narration voice picker and select Voice clone.

   Choose a recording

   Select your file. The dialog shows the filename and size; choose it again if you need to change the sample.

   Name and confirm

   Enter a Voice name and check “I own this voice or have permission to clone it.”

   Save voice

   Press Save voice. The saved voice appears in Custom voices and can be selected for narration.

#Preview before using it

Press the play button beside a custom voice to prepare and hear a sample. Opening the picker or saving a recording does not automatically generate a preview. The preview is saved for reuse.

Select the voice and open Edit voice settings to adjust the delivery. After changing settings, press Play again: Kinema prepares a preview for the new settings when needed. This lets you compare the voice before creating a full project.

If the browser says your preview is ready and asks you to press Play, press the button again to listen. If preparation fails, the picker shows an error and you can retry from the play button.

#Use or remove a custom voice

Choose the custom voice for a script-based project, then Continue. You can also make it the narrator in a brand profile so it is easy to reuse.

The custom voice library holds up to 12 saved voices. The delete control beside a custom voice removes it from the list so you can add another. Make sure you have selected the intended voice before removing it.
