Importing a script file
Bring text from TXT, PDF, or Word into the composer and review it before narration.

Use .txt, .pdf, or .docx to import a written script. The extracted words fill the same script field you can type into manually. You can edit them before building.
The import is for script text. It does not preserve a document’s page design as video graphics, and it does not attach the file as silent background research.
#Import and review
Remove a material recording if necessary
A voiceover or talking-head attachment locks the script field. Use Remove attachment if you want to switch to a script.
Choose the script file
Use + → Upload script, or drag a supported document onto Dashboard.
Read the imported text
Check paragraph order, punctuation, headings, names, tables, and the end of the script. Remove words you do not want narrated.
Confirm language and length
Check the selected language, estimated runtime, and any import notice before selecting a narrator.
#Length and extraction limits
PDF and Word imports can be up to 10 MB. The composer holds up to 39,000 characters. A longer document imports only the text that fits, with a notice. Review the retained script before proceeding; uploading a document does not bypass the script-field limit.
If a PDF or Word document cannot be read correctly, export the text as a .txt file or paste a clean version into the composer. A scanned page may not contain usable text.
