Find project visuals, reuse uploads, browse stock video, and manage library storage.

#Choose the right source tab
Select a timeline clip before clicking a replacement. Without a selected target, use drag and drop to show exactly which media clip should change.

#Upload a file
These are library upload formats. Individual tools accept a narrower set: Overlays accepts supported images and videos, while the timeline’s media drop target is for images and videos. Uploading an audio file does not create a new editable audio lane.
Open Uploads
Choose Media in the tool rail, then the Uploads tab.
Choose Upload media
Select a file from your device and keep the page open while the upload finishes.
Use the file
When its card appears, select a target scene and click the card, or drag an image or video onto a media clip.

#Use project or stock footage
In Project, filter by Videos or Images to find a visual quickly. Hover over a video card to preview it on a pointer device. Clicking a project item selects it when you are browsing, or uses it as a replacement when a target is selected.
Unused footage shows extra clips available for a Pro project. An empty list means there are no extra clips available for that project.
In Stock, type a subject and press Enter or Search. Select a result to replace the selected scene, or drag it onto a media clip. Load 15 more adds another results page; if you reach the end, try a more specific search.
#Manage storage and failed uploads
The Uploads tab shows used storage and your workspace’s limit. Upload media changes to Storage full when the allowance is used. Remove unneeded library files with the delete control on their cards, or review storage options in Settings. Team permissions may restrict deletion.
A file also has to fit the upload size limit shown by Kinema. If an upload is rejected, read the message before trying again: storage, unsupported format, incomplete upload, and an unreadable file need different fixes.
For “file contents do not match its extension,” export the original again in a supported format. Renaming a file to .jpg or .mp4 does not convert its contents. If a newly exported file still fails, keep the filename and error text for support.
