Background music
Balance the background score against the narration using the editor’s Audio panel.

#Open the score controls
Choose Audio in the tool rail, or click the Music waveform on the timeline. Background score controls the music level across the video.
A Music lane appears when the project has a background score. If no score is present, moving its fader does not add a music track.
#Adjust the level
The displayed scale runs from −40 dB to +10 dB. 0 dB keeps the source level; negative values reduce it. The lowest score setting is very quiet rather than a dedicated mute switch.
Use the preview at normal playback speed for your final balance check. The saved mix is used by the next render.
Play a representative section
Choose a passage with clear speech and the background score audible.
Move Background score
Drag the fader while listening. A lower dB value makes the score quieter; a higher value makes it louder.
Check more than one scene
Listen to a quieter passage and a busier section before settling on the level. Release the fader to keep the change.
#What the Audio panel controls
Background score changes music. Sound effects changes transition sounds, graphic cues, and uploaded-overlay audio. Adjust them independently so effects do not become loud just because you raised the score.
The current Audio panel provides these overall levels. It does not provide a music browser, separate song clips to trim, or a narration volume fader.
