Preview & playback
Play, scrub, zoom, and check changes before creating a final render.

#Play and move through the video
Use the central Play button to start or pause. The time display shows the current position and total timeline duration. Space also toggles playback when you are not typing or using another control.
Click the timeline ruler or an empty part of a lane to move the playhead. Drag to scrub through a section. When a zoomed timeline extends beyond the screen, dragging near its left or right edge scrolls it so you can keep scrubbing.
Click a media clip, graphic block, or caption chip to jump to its start and inspect it. Selecting an uploaded overlay pauses playback so you can position it accurately.
#Change the preview speed
Click the speed control to cycle through 0.5×, 1×, 1.5×, and 2×. Use a slower speed to check a quick transition or caption change; use a faster speed for a broad review of a long video.
This changes preview playback only. It does not change your narration, clip timing, or exported video speed. Return to 1× for your final sound and pacing check.
#Fit the timeline or enlarge the picture
- Fit shows the full timeline across the available width.
- The zoom slider enlarges or reduces timeline detail around your current position.
- A vertical wheel gesture or trackpad pinch over the timeline zooms around the pointer. A horizontal gesture scrolls along the timeline.
- Full opens a fullscreen preview where the control is available. The preview also resizes as you open or collapse the side panel.
#Preview versus a completed render
The editor preview reflects your current edits. A completed render is a saved video version. Opening an older render will show that version, even if you have since changed the timeline.
If playback pauses after a large seek, give the media a moment to load, then pause and play again. If the same clip stays blank, check it from the Media panel and try another available asset.
