#When to use a cast
A cast is a group of recurring characters for AI-generated footage. It belongs to a presenter, with that presenter as the main character. Use it when a series repeatedly includes the same people, such as a host and family members.
A saved cast is distinct from the narration voice and from the presenter’s speaking photo. Cast portraits are references for how characters appear in generated scenes.
#Add portraits
Open Manage cast
Open the presenter picker and choose Manage cast on the relevant presenter card.
Add the main portrait
Use the presenter portrait tile to upload a full-length 9:16 JPG or PNG photo. This helps scenes show more than a torso.
Add other members
Choose Add cast member or drop a portrait into the cast window. Enter a name and a role, such as a character’s relationship to the presenter.
Confirm each upload
Review the portrait, confirm “I have the right to use this person’s likeness in generated footage,” and save it. The member counter shows the current allowance and remaining capacity.
#Use the cast in a video
Turn on Use in this video in Manage cast for the project you are creating. Cast works with generated visuals; enabling it also enables an appropriate AI source if no AI media source was selected.
Review your source selection and estimate after enabling it. Changing the selected presenter changes which saved cast you are working with.
#Manage members
Use a 9:16 JPG or PNG portrait of the person, up to 20 MB. Cast portraits have a different shape from the widescreen photo used to create the speaking presenter. If an upload is rejected, check its format, size, and orientation.
Owners and managers can remove cast members after confirmation. Removing a saved character removes their photo from the cast, while videos already made retain their footage. Team editors can add characters but cannot remove them.
