#Correct a caption

An edited line keeps its existing start and end time. Its replacement words are spread evenly across that time window. Adding many words to a short line can make the result difficult to read.

Saving an empty line removes those caption words. Editing captions changes displayed text, not the spoken narration.

   Find the line

   Zoom in and click a caption chip on the timeline. The preview jumps to the line and its text editor opens nearby.

2. 02

   Edit the words

   Correct spelling, names, punctuation, or the visible wording. Keep the replacement close to what the narration actually says.

3. 03

   Save and listen

   Click Save or press Enter, then play that section to check the timing. Escape or Cancel closes without saving.

#Choose a caption style

Open Captions in the tool rail. The animated cards show each style’s appearance and rhythm. Click a card to apply it to every caption in the video. The preview updates immediately, and the next render uses that style.

Available styles are Classic, Hormozi, Punch Pop, Karaoke, Minimal, Typewriter, Gradient, Comic Pop, Neon Glow, Bold Center, Subtitle Box, Yellow Pop, Highlight, Outline, Fire, Ice, Green Pop, Pink Punch, Retro, Clean, and Yellow Bar.

• Use a restrained style such as Minimal or Clean when the picture should carry most of the attention.
• Use a boxed style when readability against changing footage is the priority.
• Check animated or centered styles against graphics and presenter placement before rendering.

#Turn captions on or off

The Captions button beside the snapping control toggles captions for the video. When off, the caption lane is hidden and captions do not appear in the preview or next render. Turning captions back on restores the caption track.

The toolbar toggle changes visibility; the Captions tool panel changes style. Neither action rewrites the narration.

#Check readability before rendering

• Check names, numbers, specialized terms, and punctuation against the narration.
• Play corrected lines at 1× to verify the new word timing.
• Look at both bright and dark scenes when choosing a style.
• Check that a lower third, QR image, or presenter does not compete with the captions.
