Writing and pasting a script

#The script is your narration

Type or paste a finished script into the Dashboard composer. The Script field in Fine-tune this video edits the same text. It is narration material, so include only what the audience should hear.

When the script and chosen video language match, your script is narrated as written. If you choose a different supported video language, the script is translated for that language and the confirmation shows a script-translation estimate.

#Check the length

The composer estimates runtime from the amount of text. Hosted videos require enough material for a 6-minute video and support up to 40 minutes. Follow the length notice shown for your script; the amount of text needed varies by language.

The script field accepts up to 39,000 characters. Pasting or importing more retains only the text that fits and shows a notice. Review the ending after a long import so the conclusion is not missing. The final spoken runtime can differ from the initial estimate.

#Prepare a script that reads naturally

• Use complete sentences and punctuation that fit the pace you want.
• Spell out an abbreviation when its pronunciation would otherwise be ambiguous.
• Verify names, dates, figures, quotations, and any claims before generating.
• Remove page numbers, tables of contents, editing comments, and unused headings from imported documents.
• For multilingual work, confirm the language choice rather than relying entirely on automatic detection.

#Switch between a script and a recording

Attaching audio or a talking-head video clears and locks the script field because the recording becomes the source material. Copy any script you want to keep before attaching a recording. Use Remove attachment to return to script entry.

Importing a script file fills the text box so you can read and edit it before creating. It is not a separate background reference attachment.
