Choose narration and caption language, translate a script, and avoid mismatched recordings.

#Available video languages
The video-language selector on Dashboard currently offers English, Spanish (LatAm), German, Portuguese (BR), French, and Italian. Open the flag and language name at the top of the composer to choose one.
The voice picker has a separate language filter to help you find narrators. Filtering voices is not the same as changing the video’s language.
#For a script-based video
Paste the full script
Kinema may suggest a language based on your text. Check the actual selection.
Set the output language
Choose the language you want the narration to use. Keep the original language to narrate the script as written.
Check translation in the summary
If the chosen language differs from the detected script language, Ready to build? shows a script-translation estimate.
Review the result
Listen to pronunciation and review captions, translated wording, names, and numbers in the editor.
#For an uploaded recording
Set the language to match the speech in the audio or talking-head recording. The selection helps captions use the right language; it does not dub an uploaded recording into another language.
On a first upload, Kinema may require you to explicitly select the language before continuing. Use the composer’s flag control, then try Create video again.
#Script translation and video translation
Script translation is part of creating a new script-based video in another supported language. The separate Translate video shortcut on Dashboard is marked SOON and is not currently available in this workspace.
Do not expect that shortcut to translate a completed project or an uploaded voiceover. For now, prepare a script or recording in the language you intend to build.
