Estimate video costs and track reserved and charged credits.
Use POST /estimates with the proposed video settings before creating a live job. Costs depend on video length, production mode, sources, and presenter generation. Read the API’s estimate instead of hardcoding the pricing page’s example rates.
Live jobs use the workspace’s existing credit balance. The video response reports credits.reserved and credits.charged. An estimate is provisional; final charges reflect the work actually performed. Set max_estimated_credits when creating a video to reject a request whose starting estimate exceeds your allowance. This is an estimate check, not a guarantee of the final cost.
Use GET /usage and the developer console to inspect usage. Test mode never calls paid generation providers and does not spend generation credits. Failed or cancelled work can still include costs for completed work; check the job’s returned credit information.
